All of the architectural and engineering drawings are done and the multitude of applications completed, signed and sealed and sent to the Department of Buildings (DOB) for review and approval. We anticipate the review process to take at least 3 months. But we've already done preliminary construction bidding so we will be ready to go when the DOB says "approved"!
Determining Code & Assembling Team
We acquired a small wood frame house in the South Slope in September 2016. Since then, we've created a workable schematic design which would enlarge the structure. We are using the design in discussions with prospective contractors and consultants. Various engineering and consultant proposals have been submitted and we are reviewing codes to see which is the most favorable for the scope of work.
Searching for Your New Home
After working on updating our website, we are resuming our full time search for another property. Our focus is primarily Brooklyn's emerging neighborhoods. We look for properties where we will have the ability to create more pleasing layouts within an existing structure or to create flexibility for new owners through adding square footage.
